Via /., I learned that Internet2 (the next-generation Internet) has set a new speed record of 6.63Gbps.
As the article states, that's fast enough to transfer a full-length DVD movie in about 15 4 (!) seconds.

If you're printing a black and white document, please don't use the farqing color printer. There's a huge black and white printer right next to the color printer that works just as fine and is even a shade faster than the color printer.
