Montana Election Wiki
September 9th, 2008 | by Craig |As much as I like to hammer my sinestra pals, I also like to point out when they get it right.
They have created Montana Election Wiki, which aims to be a clearing house for information about political races in Montana. From the site:
- Everyone is welcome to add information to enhance our understanding and knowledge of the people running for office in Montana.
- Information added to the wiki should be accurate and, when possible, sourced.
- Wikis often have heated debate about subjects, but that is no excuse for incivility. Defend your position, but do so while treating other users with respect.
- A wiki entry about political races and politicians will undoubtedly tempt contributors into putting partisanship ahead of the pursuit of truth. It's our hope that the site will reflect the best of informed observation and facts. Anyone is welcome to edit and add information, but concentrated efforts by campaigns, candidates or parties to control content will not be tolerated.
- If you are new to using Mediawiki, consult the User's Guide for information on using the software.
I encourage you to take part in this worthwhile effort. Blogging isn’t for a lot of people, but if you’re someone who likes to do research and compile facts, this would be a good way to get involved.
Tip o’ the hat to Jay Stevens.
