I think every newspaper in Montana has a nickname: The Bozeman Daily Comical (Chronicle), The Billings Guess-At-It (Gazette), The Montana Sub-Standard (Standard), Great Falls Tribunal (Tribune) and the Helena Insufficient Record (Independent Record), for starters.
I only bring that to mention that the moniker Sub-Standard seems pretty well-deserved ...

Helena has had a ban on smoking in all public establishments for the past 4 (or so) years. This includes bars, casinos, restaurants, etc. Physicians here have claimed that within six months of the ban, heart disease plummeted. It's good all around.
