An Amusing Anecdote
October 26th, 2007 | by Craig |Much to the chagrin of the Spousal Unit, the eldest child has become a fan of LOLCats. Almost every day, she wants to go to icanhascheezburger.com to see, as she puts it, “the LOLCats of today.” One of her favorite subsets of the LOLCats is the “Fail” meme. (Which also extends into other “genres,” but that’s where it started for her.)
Also, she’s fairly aware of some of the things going on in the world. We (honestly) try not to be too overbearing, so that she can hear evidence and make up her own mind. However, stuff just can’t help but rub off.
She’s also a fan of the Miami Dolphins for some reason. Seeing as how the ‘Fins are having such a good year, I made her a custom graphic:
At any rate, we were driving up Montana Avenue the other day, and came across a small contingent (4 or 5 people) of Ron Paul supporters (Paulbearers) holding up a large “Ron Paul for President” sign.
I mentioned aloud that I wished I had my camera, thinking that it would be funny to say something about the “entire Montana Ron Paul contingent,” when the eldest says, “You could make it say, ‘Ron Paul. Fail.’”
I damned near drove off the road.
