You Have To Love True Believers
September 24th, 2007 | by Craig |Did you catch the article over at New Left West yesterday, entitled: “Global Warming Deniers: Sowing fear, Uncertainty and Doubt”?
Let’s just have some quick samples of what the global warming crowd has been predicting:
- Over one million plants and animals, a quarter of all life on land, could become extinct in just decades
- As global temperatures continue to climb, every continent in the world is vulnerable to severe shifts in weather patterns and rising sea levels that could lead to drought, food shortages, heat waves and disease, according to a report adopted Friday by an international body of scientists.
- By the year 2080, Manhattan and Shanghai could be underwater, droughts and floods could become more extreme and hundreds of millions of people will be at risk from disease, starvation and water shortages.
- Without action, climate change will cause the extinction of countless species and destroy some of the world’s most precious ecosystems, putting millions of people at risk.
And it’s the “deniers” (whatever happened to the word skeptic?) who are sowing Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt?
Alrighty, then.
