Interspecies Co-Operation
March 2nd, 2005 | by Craig |When I was younger, my roommate and I found some baby squirrels who had fallen out of their nest, so we ate them for dinner.
I’m just kidding. We jury-rigged a house for them, and nursed them back to health with some wildly expensive goat milk derivative. Eventually, they were returned to the wild.
Never once did it occur to us that there might be an alternative.

Good Lord, my mother was always rescuing something, our house was like a freaking zoo. We had a flying squirrel, a fox squirrel, raccoons, wild turkeys, a mink, baby deer….and that’s just the ones I can remember.
But she never, ever did anything like that. That’s just nasty.

Some one in our town had a racoon in a cage and in another cage on their poarch they had a squerrel that had one of those little wheels and it would get in that wheel and spin around and around and well i can remember when me and my sister would catch caterpillars but them in a jar with holes punched in the lid we would put in leaves and watch as the caterpillars would spin cacoons or chrysalas and come out as a butterfly or moth and one time my sister had a cricket that chirped in a jar and we also had two parakeets and a canary and one of my brthers had a white rat and a tiny little turtle one of my other brothers had a bigger turtle
