That’s All We Need, Baby. Dont’cha Know?

August 28th, 2007 | by Craig |

It might not be a hot summer night tomorrow, but we’re having Bozeman Mayor Jeff Krauss on ye olde Podcast at 21:00 Wednesday evening.

Jeff proposed we talk about using the internet to help govern a city, and I suspect that we’ll also be doing some compare and contrast.

As always, we welcome your calls. It promises to be an interesting discussion.

Hey, one thing I forgot. We are NOT Bozeangles. The best thing about Bozeman is NOTthat wherever you are in Bozeman, you’re only twenty minutes from Montana.

We still have the ten commandments on Main Street. We still line up, thousands along the street, to honor our fallen Iraq veteran. We still turn out for high school sports, girls and boys. Hey, I don’t want our Senators to buy Bozeman a mansion, I want our Senators to balance the budget and buy a new sewage lagoon for those small eastern montana towns whose systems are failing. If people can get a job here, and move here from somewhere else in Montana, it’s a helluva lot better than having your son or daughter move to the Rocky MTn Front or the bay area.

We still appreciate a potato festival in manhattan or the sweet pea festival here or the chokecherry festival in Lewistown.

And the Mayor’s still listed in the phone book…and he and his wife are Bobcats, and his son’s a Grizzly. It’s still Montana.

    Thanks for having me on!

Great interview and a different perspective into Local Bozeman Politics than you usually get. I was somewhat surprised to find out that the Mayor of Bozeman even knew about by Blog, let alone had read enough to know what I blog about. Kudos to a Mayor that is interested in what the “common people” have to say.
