Thanks to Gman for posting this link to my article. I’m glad you liked that piece and am much obliged for your thoughtfulness, especially as it comes from my #1 favorite flyfishing state!

Larry, it’s great that you picked up on my post. I read your column in the Freeman: Ideas on Liberty each month. I appreciate this article in particular because it really gets to essence of what the free society is about — allowing individuals to realize their God-given potential without intrusion from those who think they know better. Others are perfectly welcome to persuade me that their worldview is better, but they don’t have the option of forcing me to observe it.
One comment in your article that really resonates with me is the unfairness of having parents who send their children to private schools pay twice. You can read my post post on this exact issue on this very blog. If you are inclinded to read them, the rest of my posts are viewable here.
You and I met in 2001 (if I remember correctly) at the SPN Annual Meeting in Boulder. I’d love to get you out to Montana to extol the virtues of a free market public policy institute in Big Sky Country. It comes with a fly fishing trip, and maybe Stu Pritchard will have us up on Rock Creek.
Because of the nature of my work, I use an alias (Gman), but you can email me at hsurnag@yahoo.com.
Best to you, Larry!

Thanks, Larry, for a great article. (And thanks, Gman, for pointing it out.)
I like the resolutions at the end. Would that we all take those to heart!

Glad you enjoyed it, Craig. Larry is one of the great pioneers of the state free market think tank movement in the U.S.
