More Meriwether Fire, Plus the Little Wolf Creek Fire, Too!
July 31st, 2007 | by Craig |I’m thinking of renaming this blog “The Beavis Blog,” since all it’s been about lately is “Fire, Fire, Fire!”
But, as the dynamic duo noted, fire is pretty cool. (Huh. Huh huh. Fire is cool. Get it. Huh huh.)
This picture, I think, is particularly good, since you’ve got the “Fire Danger” sign in the foreground pointing to “Very High.”
(Check out the entire Flickr Set for some shots taken today of both fires.)
It’s 100 degrees, and the humidity is, for all intents and purposes, nil, but the fire danger isn’t quite “Extreme” just yet. Oh no, it has to be just a little worse before it is “Extreme.”
It’s a crappy video, but here’s a shot of the smoke plume from the Meriwether fire, as shot from the Gates of the Mountains exit on I-15.

Fire is pretty high on my list of things to think about…. and now, you know, it is August… traditionally a month of warmer temperatures…….
