Montana Playoff Game Times
November 20th, 2006 | by Craig |Like I said earlier, Montana has 3 college football teams in the playoffs this coming Saturday.
The Carroll College Fighting Saints are at home against St. Xavier. I wonder who God favors in this game. This game is set for a 12:07 MST kickoff.
The Hallowed and Beloved Griz are at home against the Cowboys of McNeese State (Lake Charles, LA). Game time in Missoula is tentatively 12:05 MST.
Finally, the (usually) Hated and Reviled ‘Cats host their first playoff game since Ronald Reagan’s first term against the Furman Purple Paladins. This game, oddly enough, doesn’t start at or around 12:05, but rather 11:30 MST.
In the I-AA bracket, MSU and UM are at opposite ends, so it is possible that they could meet again in Chattanooga for the National Championship. That would be excellent beyond words. Unfortunately, if the ‘Cats win, they will most likely have to travel to Boone, NC to play #1 seed Appalachian State. Personally, I’ll be cheering for Coastal Carolina to get the upset.
It’s going to be a great weekend for football in the Treasure State, as long as you don’t get tendinitis from switching the TV back and forth and trying to listen to the radio all at the same time!
