Weird Al Two-Fer

I’m sure you’ve probably already seen “White & Nerdy,” but it’s worth a post.

And, in case you doubt the genius of Weird Al (which I’ve trumpeted frequently), check out his parody of Star Wars and American Pie:

I’ve watched White & Nerdy more times than I can count at this point. So hilarious. I can’t say I’ve even heard the song it’s parodying.

My kids are addicted to white and nerdy. Seriously, the youngest girl sings it everywhere she goes.

    Jeff,
The original is by Chamillionair and is called ‘Ridin’ Dirty’ It isn’t a bad song. Of course, I looked it up on Rhapsody after I saw this video some time back.

I like the Donny Osmond cameo…

Our family loves the video, because, well, it’s us. Although I think we don’t look quite as nerdy.

First time I’ve seen it. I noticed Seth Green was in W&N as well. Cool..

I like that Star Wars parody the best- although I would since I am white and nerdy.

And I always wondered about that “hitting on the Queen when he was nine and she was 14.”
Although, it’s all right with me. In fact, I’m going to go look me up some Hayden Christensen photos right now.

I mean, the age difference, of course. Here’s this little kid in episode I, then all of a sudden he’s an adult and she still looks exactly the same in episode II. It always struck me as very odd. But if Weird Al says they’re only 5 years apart, it makes sense.

I, too, am unfamiliar with the original song of this so-called “video,” which I’ve never before seen. It seems to be nothing more than a bizarre montage of random clips from our personal home-movie library, used out-of-context and WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION, I might add, just spliced awkwardly together, with a couple of black guys photochopped in for no discernable reason whatsoever. Is the point here simply to humiliate my family? Is that it?
