This is stupid. The worse thing is that it implies that we can not be nice and use diplomacy to anyone.

So the solution is to call them names (axis of evil) and then bury our heads in the sand for 6 years? Real effective. It is funny how everything that has went wrong in the last 6 years has been Clinton’s fault. It would be one thing if Bush had tried to deal with the situation. I suppose that Iraq is going badly because of Clinton? A bit disingenuous don’t you think?

The implication isn’t that we can’t use diplomacy; rather than there are times that diplomacy doesn’t work.

How do you call ongoing efforts at talks “burying our heads in the sand?”

How do you switch gears from NorK to Iraq?

A bit disingenuous, don’t you think?

Yeah, Chad, but you’re a closet Democrat, too. ;)

Agreed, we do not know that time had to come had our President not started his tenure with name calling. That is not diplomacy, or even grown up.

President George W Bush has ruled out an early resumption of talks with North Korea, saying US policy towards the region would have to be reviewed first.

Iraq we don’t wait, it is too big of a threat, but now we wait? For China?

Shane, had you been around 2000 years ago, your headlines about the day would read, “Jesus: Good Guy. Can’t Swim.”

If Bush goes it alone, you tag him as a “cowboy.” If he asks for multilateral talks, you criticize him for not going it alone.

I’m not Bush’s biggest fan by any means, but if he cut his right arm off, you would criticize him for not cutting off his left as well.

I think it is absolutely ludicrous that identifying the Axis of Evil by name would cause its leaders immediately run out and arm themselves with nuclear weapons.

But, if it did, it just demonstrates their inherent instability. Diplomacy only works with the rational. These people are not rational. They are either megalomaniacs, religious nuts, or both.

Furthermore, Dear Leader has BROKEN the Agreed Framework signed while Clinton was in office. He has steadfastly ignored the UN. How much more “diplomacy” are we suppposed to undertake? Diplomacy has gotten us where we are today- nukes in Kim Jong II’s crazy little fists.

WHat arms Craig? He has ignored the problem.

I blame my Mom. She didn’t hug me enough. That is why I have issues with people in authority.
