Hawkeyes Drub Griz in Opener
September 3rd, 2006 | by Craig |No one held out much hope for the beloved and hallowed Griz on their opening game, and for good reason. The Griz were roundly thumped 41-7 against the Iowa Hawkeyes. I don’t think you’ll find any fan too disappointed by that.
That other school, however, managed a 19-10 upset of the Colorado Buffs.
I’m a pretty rabid Griz fan, but it’s also good to see that ‘Cats do well. They lost some big guns last year, including quarterback Travis Lulay, and it looks like they’ve filled the holes quite nicely.
Carroll College, meanwhile, handily won their season opener in Spearfish, SD, as they begin their campaign for a fifth consecutive national title.
Looks to be a good year for Montana collegiate football.

I’ll bet MSU was playing their second string, no?

Don’t forget Rocky Mountain College this past weekend.
They beat #25 Minot State for their third win in three years. Maybe they have turned a corner!

That’s great news.
The OC is an old friend of mine, and I was thinking that if RMC didn’t turn it around real soon, he might be floating his remume around.
