A Good Start

One of the problems I’ve had with power de-regulation is that it truly hasn’t been de-regulated. To be de-regulated, there must be the opportunity for increased supply to meet increasing demand. There are too many barriers to entry on the supply side of things to really make it work.

A Canadian company is a step closer to building a private transmission line from Alberta to Montana.

It’s not the complete solution, but certainly a step in the right direction.

How come North Western can create energy in Montana, using our natural resources (wind and water) and export that energy to higher valued markets without passing ’savings’ back to us?

Why do we deserve any special “savings?”

What about all the jobs and taxes that NWE puts into the state? Isn’t that a benefit to us?

If you’re talking about “resources” like that, you could use that logic to apply for just about any *cough*cough* out-of-state company that does business here in the state.

How come wheat growers can produce wheat in Motnana, using our natural resources (land, dirt) and export that wheat to higher valued markets without passing “savings” back to us?
