Bischoff Sentenced for ID Bank Robbery
May 10th, 2006 | by Craig |Jim Bischoff was sentenced for the bank robbery in Rexburg, ID.
During Bischoff’s sentencing hearing in Idaho, which included an explanation of his bipolar disorder, District Judge Brent Moss sentenced him to a minimum of five years and a maximum of 20 years in prison.
When given the chance to speak, Bischoff briefly apologized for the robbery and then denied the Montana charges in the 2000 death of Kathryn Dvarishkis, 85, who was under his care at the Madison Valley Hospital in Ennis.
“She was on her death bed. I did not murder her,” he said. “There was no deliberate homicide, there’s not even a negligent homicide. I felt sick two months after I pled guilty to negligent homicide.”
Why would he bring this up while being sentenced for an unrelated crime?
Protesting too much, methinks.
