Jokes That Write Themselves

July 29th, 2005 | by Craig |

As I have mentioned repeatedly, the school district here in town is in full-blown beg-a-thon mode.

In fact, we just got a letter from them explaining why they need the money. Here’s the return address:

Skule Board Beg-A-Thon

Sometimes, it’s just too easy.

At first glance, I thought it said “Billings Pubic School”.:)

Cud of bin woise - cud of bin pubic.

What upsets me is when they ask us to vote on the mill levies. We say (vote) NO. Then we have to vote on them again. When I was growing up (not that I’ve finished yet) - No meant no. We knew better than to ask Mom again. . .

Hey me & CSU were thinking the same thing at the same time!

    Hi CSU!

I might have liked to attend pubic school, but then I’m a dirty old man. Pup licking doesn’t sound as interesting somehow. My son was the first to notice the error (could this be a typo? B is quite a distance from P on my keyboard.) but he gets the mail.

This makes me even more loathe to send my precious pearls into puplic school.

Hey, did I miss something? Are you blogging again? I need to get you linked….

that is classic. Being homeschooled i used to slam on public schools alot (jokingly), i thought of making a shirt that read: “luk wut pulik skule dun 2 me”… this is almost as good :)

That was so funny I almost fell out of my chair. I had to show my wife and everyone in the house.

Wow, now I really believe in Vouchers!!!

    Name that song…

“Lookin’ back on all the CRAP I learned in High School,
    It’s a wonder I can think at all…

Though my lack of education never hurt me none –
I can read the writing on the wall…”

You got me on that one, Amber. I had to google it.

I won’t answer, though, in case anyone else wants to take a stab at it.

A while back, someone told me that I am what I am thanks to the public schools. I maintain that I am what I am in spite of the public schools.

I’ve got it stuck in my head now, thanks to both Craig and Amber…

That means I’ll have to dust off that section of the mp3 archive and listen to it.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s possible to privatize our school system?
