Memed Again
July 5th, 2005 | by Craig |Looks like I’ve been tagged again for a meme.
What I was doing ten years ago: I was working for “Montana’s Oldest Operating Weekly” newspaper as a typesetter, ad salesman, reporter, columnist, layout, deliver and subscription manager. I’ve been thinking about digging up some of those columns from 10 years ago, just to see how bad they were. The biggest “endorsement” I ever got was from “Dr. Death“, who called me the “funniest guy in town.” Go me. There’s an endorsement for ya, huh?
5 years ago: Five years ago, I’d just started a new job that didn’t require travel. It turned out to be a hasty decision on my part, and I didn’t last long there.
1 year ago: We were coming back from visiting my folks in Ennis.
Yesterday: Enjoying a good meal with good company.

Thanks!
Now let me in on the secret of how you get a decent pair of shoes for under $20. Shoes are one of my few extravagances because I refuse to wear crappy shoes. Like my daddy always says, when your feet hurt, you hurt all over.

uh - oh. . .
Okay, I’ll bite - in a day or so.
We’d like to see you in all five things that you’d never wear - all at once!
You’ve seen what a fashion plate I am - I’ve been keeping the thrift stores & rummage rooms in business for years. But shoes? That’s an accomplishment, Craig.

Karen and Rita: Craig’s a guy. Maybe I shouldn’t admit it, but right now I’m wearing a pair of Vincent de Paul shoes I got for $5, possibly $4. They fit just swell.

Okay - my husband is still amazed that I buy almost all my clothing 2nd hand. I buy underwear & socks new though - I have my limits. I’ve bought several pairs of shoes & boots 2nd hand - but occasionally I’ll splurge on new ones. I’ve hard to fit feet - my mom insisted that I should wear the box instead of the shoe. 6 1/2 EEE - so I usually go with mens boots & Minnetonka moccasins. I did just get a new pair of Tony Lama work boots, a pair of Crocs & a pair of Wolverines. Either I’m turning into a predator - or I’m channeling Imelda Marcos.

Holy Carp girl, you never need snowshoes in the winter do you?
