Are We In Hell?

March 2nd, 2005 | by Craig |

Because if you’d told me 15 years ago that Motley Crue would be doing stuff like this:

And the Crue’s resurgence hasn’t been limited to the stage. The cable-television station VH1 is airing a show called “The Fabulous Life of Motley Crue” beginning today, the same day the band is scheduled to ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange. (Emphasis mine. –Ed.)

I would have told you that it would most likely be a cold day in Hell before something like that happened.

Maybe it’s time to book that ski trip.

Wait, I think we’re OK. The Cubs still haven’t won the World Series.

Haven’t cared about Crue since Shout at the Devil. That was their last good album.

I always argued that the glam bands would come back. In fact, you see the “glam”orization of current bands. It’s what Rush (the band) called “The Spirit of the Radio.” Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it…

Can’t say that I think Motley Crue ever produced a good album, Trench. But I was a big fan of Shout at the Devil and their first album (Too Fast for Love) back in the day. Of course, I also thought the mullet was an eminently fashionable hairstyle at that time as well.

I gave up on the Crue around “Home Sweet Home”. After that, I colud care less what Vince, Tommy and the rest do.
