Please Save Us From Ourselves!
April 13th, 2004 | by Craig |Google’s GMail service has barely hit the ground, and already the nannies want to shut it down.
The hue and cry is over privacy, since Google will be scanning all of the email that it hosts, and inserting advertising relevant to the message.
Pardon my French, but, whoop-ti-frickin’-doo.
If you don’t want Google scanning your email, let me introduce you to the very radical notion of not using Gmail to begin with. Google is at least forthright about what they are doing.
If I were these folks, I’d be more concerned about Carnivore than Google.
