We Have Two Kinds of Music

Here’s a song that I always liked. It’s Tom T. Hall’s, “I Like Beer”
My wife always frowns
when we’re out on the town
and I’m dressed up in a suit and a tie.
She’s sipping vermouth
and she thinks I’m uncouth
When I yell as the waiter goes by:
I Like Beer!

Whiskey’s too rough
Champagne costs too much
And vodka puts my mouth in gear…
I love that song! And I love Tom T. Hall, too.

That tune is also one of my favorites. I have a couple Tom T. Hall albums. I also like “I Remember the Night Clayton Delany Died.”
Good stuff.

It’s faster horses
Younger women
Older whiskey
And more money.

Oh, and I think it’s “I Remember the Year that Clayton Delany Died.”
Let’s just pretend that “Sneaky Snake” never happened…
