It’s A Date - Maybe

It looks like the weekend of the 17th is taking off for the “official” weekend of the Montana Blogger Bash. Unless someone strenuously objects in the next few days, we probably ought to run with it.

Now that we have the date and location, there’s not much left other than the specific location. I’ve been informed that Casa del MTPolitics is out, unless the Spousal Unit™ happens to be deceased by then. And even at that, there might be problems. I fought for it for a whopping .06 seconds, but there’s only so far I’ll go — even for you guys (and gals).

Randy has offered to look around and get some potential locations, so I am taking him up on the offer. Look for a report here, or at his place sometime soon.

Since I forgot to mention it earlier, I had the chance to meet up with Randy this past weekend, and found him just as funny and charming in person as you would think from reading his blog. He’s graciously offered his services to help out with ‘Da Bash, and I am taking him up on his offer, with little or no regard to his well-being or sanity.

    I would LOVE to have it someplace “lodgy” — you know, Montana-style. Any good eatin’ joints fit that bill down in Billings?

    I can’t make it on the 17th (loud groans as people realize that the token liberal won’t be the entertainment). We’ll be in the middle of full on rush. But I know that we will have get togethers in the future so … I look forward to them.

    Well now…since I can only seem to access you when I home lately guess I’d be willing to throw my two cents in and a)say I’ll try to be where you finally land on for a location and b)would be willing to offer my new digs downtown if not too many are planning on attending :-)
    As for the temporary problem of getting to your site you may want to stop by but rest assured I am WORKING on the hook up problem by DUMPING QWEST and doing a 180! T-1 and ALL :-)
